About the Artist-in-Residence Program
A space to create, research and grow your artistic practice.
Internados is not available at the moment.
We invite you to fill out the following form to receive news and be among the first to learn about future internship opportunities.
The Artist-in-Residence Program from the Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico, based in the Gallery Workshop Cecilia Orta Allende at the Center for Educational Innovation, supports the development of contemporary visual artists through an artistic residency that promotes research, experimentation and creation.
During the residency, each artist has the space, tools, and support necessary to develop a creative project that culminates in an exhibition open to the public. Throughout the process, the program strengthens their artistic practice, expands the visibility of their work, and creates opportunities for exchange with diverse communities through the Museum’s educational programming.
More than just a residency, this experience drives the professional development of artists, promotes new connections within the cultural ecosystem, and contributes to the growth of the visual arts in Puerto Rico.
With this initiative, the Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico reaffirms its commitment to local talent, supporting artists at different stages of their careers and creating opportunities for them to continue expanding their artistic practice and their impact on the community.
