Conservation Division

conservación de arte centro de bellas arte y mapr

The Conservation Division, attached to the MAPR Department of Exhibitions and Collections, occupies approximately 3,600 square feet, divided into three conservation and restoration workshops for paintings, works on paper, and sculptures. There are areas for varnish application, color reintegration, photographic documentation, and chemical analysis. The laboratory is equipped with the necessary technology to analyze the condition of the artworks, diagnose problems, and apply the appropriate treatments.

The Conservation Division provides professional services to collectors, artists, and cultural institutions requiring the evaluation, analysis, or conservation of works of art. Works can be evaluated on-site or in the MAPR conservation laboratory. All treatments require a prior analysis of the work by the conservation staff.
