El Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico (MAPR)
Opened in 2000, the Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico (MAPR) is a place to discover, enjoy, and connect with the art of Puerto Rico. Its permanent collection brings together more than 2,000 works that reflect the diverse voices, stories, and perspectives that shape our culture.
Through exhibitions, educational programs, public experiences, and spaces such as the Sculpture Garden and library, the MAPR invites people of all ages to engage with art in new and meaningful ways.
The MAPR is a private, nonprofit organization accredited by the American Alliance of Museums and a Smithsonian Affiliate.
